My journey of rediscovery started about a couple of years ago. It did not start with a goal of finding a new me or Kiran Aidhi 2.0. It was about facing who I was, what I was becoming, and how my 'darkness' was not only impacting me but also the people around me. I was losing people, losing people I loved, and, most of all, I was losing hope. That's when I took the first step in my journey of rediscovering myself. When I opened up, I realized that I have a lot of help and support available - be it from @ISABS (whose training programs really made me realize who I was, what I was doing, how I was seeing the world around me, etc.). I also had a 'mentor' in Dr. Murali Padmanabhan, PCC who showed me the path towards learning and self-discovery.
Once I learned to face myself, the whole of myself - good and bad, I found a way to rediscover myself. I realized that this change can be brought. I was in denial earlier. I was that "know-it-all" person who was always right. I had developed the knack of twisting facts and conversations to my benefit and make others feel that what I was saying or thinking was the only reality. Then, I faced myself in the mirror and asked one question - "Why do I do it"? With great introspection and reflection on myself, I got an answer. I was insecure. I had this huge fear of losing. My first step of rediscovery was taken. I have identified the barriers to my growth. My work of rediscovering myself started from there.
Most of us remain in the dark for most of our lives; this Deepawali, I would encourage you to discover the "darkness" inside you, so that you enjoy "The Light". The light of wisdom and rediscovering yourself.
